Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal has invested $300 million of his estimated $19.6 billion fortune in Twitter. That’s considered a strategic stake or more than 3% of the outstanding stock in the company.
The investment comes as Twitter is in the midst of a redesign of the Twitter site to make it more attractive to advertisers.
Alwaleed is the largest investor in Citigroup and a stakeholder in News Corp.
